The Town of Seymour Connecticut is a classic New England town with a lot of spirit, charm and a historical background dating to that of the United States of America's Industrial Revolution of the 19th century circa 1850-1860. Today, in modern times of the second decade of the 21st century, Seymour remains a lovely place to plant your familial roots, raise a family and reside affordably and comfortably as we are comprised of apartments, condominiums, 55+ communities, single and multi-family housing and high-end custom-built homes and neighborhoods. In 2010 Seymour joined the Connecticut Main Street Association as well as several other state organizations. From 2010-2017 many positive changes and growth have occurred within the Town of Seymour and continue to occur. From 2015 on, miles of roads have been repaved and continue to be for the next seveal years along with other major capital investments.

Seymour is nestled between major cities like New York City to the south by a mere 75 minutes, Boston to the North by 2.5 hours, just a little over 1 hour to famous Casino Resorts like Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods. We are are a 25 minute ride to Bridgeport and Waterbury, a 45+ minute ride to Stamford, Norwalk, Danbury and Hartford. The Town of Seymour continues to evolve into the 21st century yet retains a balanced approach to economic development versus quality of life.

Seymour's downtown is continually being revitalized where one can stroll around our acclaimed Seymour Antique District (,  shop or dine in several restaurants in downtown as well along Route 67 or Route 34 and visit one of the largest waterfalls in the State of Connecticut known as Historic Tingue Dam in which a $6.3 million dollar Fish By-Pass Ladder opened a few years ago as the only one in ALL of New England. Renovations to the adjacent park known as the Broad Street-Vietnam Memorial Park were completed overlooking the Fish-By-Pass and Tingue Dam. Additional concepts are underway for a Green Way trail to span Seymour's downtown river front for 1+ mile and several more prominent downtown parcels along Routes 67-8-313 have owners seeking their properties to be sold or rehabilitated for extensive commercial and retail development in the multi-millions of dollars affording Seymourites and others in neighboring towns additional modern retail conveniences.

Over the past 6-10 years the Town of Seymour has seen reinvestment from numerous new entrepreneurial businesses as well as major chain tenants such as Starbuck's, Auto Zone, CVS, Walgreen's, Entertainment Cinemas among others. Several new restaurants have opened up on Route 34 and Route 67 as well as a new car high-tech car wash to service the needs of tens of thousands in several local towns. Seymour enjoys the scenic beauty of four-seasons nestled in the mountains of the Lower Naugatuck Valley Route 8 Corridor from its spring flowers to fall foliage colors to winter snowfall.
